A good client of ours called to tell us that their tenants bathroom floor had swollen, cracked and water damaged laminate boards. Our team were tasked with repairing the problem, however we opted for a complete replacement in tile.
OUR ROLE
Once we removed the toilet, pedestal and bath panel, we quickly removed all the laminate flooring and underlay. Our team gave the floor a good clean and screwed down hardboard to prevent movement. We then used a 6mm insulated tile backer board screwed down onto the timber floor. The tenant chose these 10mm ceramic tiles which we put down, including some intricate angles around the edges, before grouting and replacing the bathroom suite.

THE RESULT
Both the tenant and landlord were happy with the final result and pleased we recommended tile instead of a laminate repair/replacement.
