PROJECT OVERVIEW
A property owner in Rye had a problem with their bathroom floor tiles moving and cracking. We were asked to find out the reason why and solve the issues.
OUR ROLE
After breaking up and removing the old tiles from the floor, along with the tile backing sheet and water damaged ply, we spotted there were floor joists running the length of the room without any noggins for support. We installed noggins and joist supports, ensured there was no movement and then reset the floor with 10mm marine ply. This was then topped with 6mm tile backer board and tiled over using the best match of tile we could source to suit the walls. The floor was then grouted and the bathroom suite reinstalled.

THE RESULT
The property owner was very grateful that we had gone the extra steps to completely remove the floor back to the joists. We have been invited back numerous times by this client since to repair additional works and have created a great relationship.
