After a patch of severe weather, the old render had succumbed to water ingress, come loose and collapsed from this second floor bay window and needed a sympathetic repair.
OUR ROLE
We had scaffolding erected at the property and quickly got to work removing all the loose render around the bay window. We then removed the old rotten lathes and replaced these with new chestnut lathes. Using a lime render mixture, containing fibres, we completed a 3 coat render on the new lathes. The new render was then decorated in a lime friendly all weather paint.

THE RESULT
Our clients (and the rest of the Old Town) were pleased that we had gone above and beyond to replace all the lathes around the whole bay window and used lime render to provide a breathable outer coat.
